The PA17 Vagabond, also known as the Vagabond Trainer, is almost identical to the PA15. It differs mainly in having bungee cord shock-absorbed landing gear, dual controls for pilot training plus other refinements including carpet on the floor.

Continental 65 hp A-65-8 engine. Many of the PA17s in the UK today have been fitted with the C90 engine.
