2 seat tandem high wing aircraft with fabric covered wings and fuselage.
40 hp , 50 hp, 60 hp and 65 hp Continental, Franklin or Lycoming engine.

The J-3 Cub was initially built alongside the J-2, eventually replacing it on the production line.

Differences amounted to integrating the vertical fin into rear fuselage structure and blended covering, revised shape to the rearmost side windows and steerable tailwheel.
