I am looking for a starboard aileron as a strategic spare. My outboard hinge pin is beginning to click and sooner or later it will have to be replaced.
From Chris Hicks:
It is quite easy to ream out the holes in the aileron hinges in situ, and fit slightly larger diameter hinges pins to take up the wear. Took me about 15 minutes per hinge. LAS have a range of pins that are “close tolerance” ie a bit bigger than a regular pin, but not as big as the next size up. Only to be done with the approval and supervision of your inspector of course.
